Bournemouth U3A is part of an exciting worldwide movement created to meet the needs of the growing number of the over 50s. Education and leisure courses form the core activity and there is also an active social programme.

Courses are all held during the day and are led by unpaid enthusiasts. There are no examinations to face, no qualifications required or awarded, and only enjoyment to be won. Study groups are relaxed and informal and frequently create new friendships.

Membership is £22 for the whole year. Social activities are organised for members and friends. For an additional £5 members of Bournemouth U3A may also attend one class at the Christchurch U3A. All Dorset U3A members can attend one Bournemouth U3A class for an annual fee of £5.
